Help me #MakeBoPay!
In 2012, Coach Bo Ryan and his wife Kelly hosted the Charity Stripe Challenge and pledged to donate $1 for every student who attended, $10 for every free throw made and $1,000 for every half-court shot sunk. By the end of the night the Ryan Family had donated nearly $42,000!
Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society provide services to cancer patients in need and fund life-saving research. At the University of Wisconsin, the American Cancer Society has funded over $44 million in reserach since 1947. This year alone, the Society will support 17 cancer research projects in Wisconsin at an investment of almost $10 million. The American Cancer Society has had a hand in nearly every major cancer research breakthrough of the last century. Help me continue their progress towards finding cures!
The American Cancer Society is hosting a Coaches vs. Cancer Young Professionals Event in conjunction with the Charity Stripe Challenge so basketball fans can have a chance to watch the action! To find out more about the event click here.
